facebook business / hyperlocal films + brand activations

Facebook has all kinds of tools to help growing small businesses. And small businesses help keep your city, well, your city. We set out across the country to talk to small business owners about what makes their city unique, surprising, and occasionally flat-out weird. Here are 4 films and brand activations centered around the businesses that make every city feel special.

San Diego: The Dog Friendliest City in America

For the San Diego brand activation, we invited dog-focused local businesses to our “new age” doggie wellness retreat, appropriately named “Pawmaste.” We featured dog yoga sessions, dog meditation classes, pet aura readers, and other dog loving shops.

Nashville: Music City

For the Nashville activation, we built a stage at a local bike shop and invited a musically-inclined realtor, lawyer, and baker to put on a show. Every business owner-slash-musician got the full rock-star treatment, complete with concert posters, custom t-shirts, and a ton of swag.

Sacramento: City of Trees

For the Sacramento activation, we built a treehouse market that hosted nature-themed businesses and all of their nature-themed knick knacks. We invited some tea shops, nature-inspired jewelry makers, wood carvers, and more.

Columbus: The Biggest Small Town in America

In true small-town charm, Columbus hosts some pretty rad parades all year long. We created the first ever shoppable parade, where parade-goers could purchase local goods and services directly from business themed floats. These included a local bookshop, an aquarium store, a baseball bat maker, a barber, and many others.
